Just built a junk box tuner for hf and another for 6 meters and both seem to work well.  They are just from the handbook and the same type I have built for various projects here on the farm  for the last 30 years.

I am gathering some parts to build a remote controlled tuner for the one windmill tower about 100 feet from the shack.  It will feed another inverted L antenna in the north/south plane.  motors will turn the caps and step the taps on the coil.

Lots of fun so little time to play......

A remote control tuner?  Wow!  I'm just going to get ladder line and see if that does any better. I think my coax is fried.
