When I think of Ham Fests, I think of $$$$$$ flying away. It's pretty hard to go in one without buying something.
What ham fests do you go to? I go to the Duluth/Surperior one up here that is in April. But most of the time I'm broke right at that time trying to catch up on my ELECTRIC BILL !! (grrr)

He had a new thread in the news section that he said that there is going to be on in Parkville, or Park something, but he deleted it. Mustn't be too far from his place.

Then it can't be Parkville where that ham fest is, isn't it? He mentioned that it was going to be from 8:00 to 11:00 that it's going to be for hours. There will be a tail gate thing and there is no fee. Even if you want to put up a table there isn't any fee. It's all free. But they will be strongly be suggesting donations with a can to shove some money into it.
I'll go and look and see if I can find it in my email that notified me of the deletion

This is the only thing I could find that was there. I'll put this back in the News section where it was too.

Can you see another post just like that somewhere? I put that back up in the news section. I'm asking because it came up that the post cannot be found, so it might be the one that got deleted. And if that isn't right, then there would be 2 of them, except for the copy on this thread.

I just learned that the Walker Ham Fest isn't going anymore. It wasn't very big, but I felt at home there and everyone from Bemidji went there, so I got to meet most hams from Bemidji. So I'm going to miss going there.
Hibbing had a ham fest once and I thought it was a huge success. There were a lot of people there. But they didn't have another one saying that there wasn't enough people that came to make it worth it. WELL! What do they expect? Hardly no one from further away places knew that we had a ham fest, and when something new starts up, it's going to take a few years for it to get going good when people from far away learn that there is one. People will come from a quite a few miles to go to a ham fest. So all Hibbing had to do is keep having the ham fest and it would have turned out pretty good. We could have gotten big enough with people coming from all over wisconsin, Minneapolis, and throughout the state to where we would have to rent the Memorial Building. (that's where the school hocky plays) Well, If that is where John Kerry held his appearance, then it's big enough for a nice size ham fest.
