Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.

OOOoooo, I miss Rabbit.
In 1977, 78, and 79 me and my X friend Ray used to start in the morning and hunt till dark. The rabbits were so plentiful that we would kick any brush pile and no less that 2 rabbits would squirt out of there. We would be on logging trails and kick the brush piles they would leave. Once 6 rabbits squirted out of one.
My mom could cook the rabbit and they would taste exactly like chicken. Very enjoyable meals.
The lake that Ray lived on would be loaded with snapping turtles. He would fish for them and caught this 300 pound snapper. I asked why he wants turtle and he said that he wants to make his turtle stew.
MAN !! that was fabulous tasting stew!!
